If you walk out your door in the right frame of mind the world becomes a mysterious place where even the banal can take on the air of surprise.
In April 2003 having been to the V&A museum to see the work of my favourite photographer, Guy Bourdin. One of the photographs that struck me was of a fashion picture stuck on a telegraph pole with a barren field behind. I was inspired to do something similar and while I was walking through Brockwell Park a couple of days later looking for possible trees on which to stick mine, the realisation came to me that I could photograph the path that ran behind it and stick it on the tree and make it the same width. All I then had to do was figure out how print a photograph the correct size. With the aid of Photoshop that was easy enough.
